Common screen door problems
These are the issues we fix most often on patio screen doors:
- •Torn or loose mesh from pets, kids or storms
- •Worn rollers that make the screen drag or jump the track
- •Bent frames that no longer sit square
- •Broken latches and handles
Rescreening
We replace the mesh and spline so the screen is tight again. Options include standard mesh, pet-resistant mesh that holds up to claws, and solar mesh that cuts heat and glare.
Rollers and track
Screen doors ride on small rollers that wear out quickly in sand and salt air. New rollers, adjusted to the right height, keep the screen rolling smoothly and stop it from falling off the track.
Repair or replace the frame?
Slightly bent frames can often be straightened. If the frame is badly bent or corroded, we build or fit a new screen door sized to your opening.
