Sliding Screen Door Repair & Rescreening

Torn mesh, bent frames, screens that jump the track or won't slide — fixed in one visit in most cases. We rescreen with standard, pet-resistant or insect mesh and rebuild the rollers and track so the screen glides again.

Why screen doors fail in South Florida

Sun, salt and daily use wear screens out fast

Florida sun makes screen mesh brittle, salt air corrodes the little steel rollers in the frame, and years of sliding chew up the track. The result is a screen that tears easily, grinds along the rail or jumps off entirely.

The good news: almost none of that requires a new screen door. New mesh, new rollers and a squared-up frame bring most screens back to like-new in a single visit — and we do window screens while we're there.

  • •Rescreening with fiberglass, pet-resistant or insect mesh
  • •New rollers and track repair so the screen stays on the rail
  • •Handle and latch replacement matched to your frame
  • •Window screens repaired in the same visit

Common screen problems we fix

If your screen door is driving you crazy, it's one of these

Torn or ripped screen mesh

Holes, tears and frayed edges let bugs straight in. We rescreen the frame with new mesh and spline — fiberglass, pet-resistant or tight-weave insect screen.

Screen door jumps the track

The screen derails every time you slide it. Usually worn rollers, a bent frame or a damaged track — we replace the rollers, square the frame and adjust the height.

Screen door won't slide smoothly

Grinding, sticking or dragging screens almost always need new rollers and a cleaned track, not a new door. Most are fixed in one visit.

Bent or damaged frame

Frames bend from impacts, storms and years of use. Minor bends can be straightened; cracked corners and twisted frames get an honest repair-vs-replace answer on site.

Broken screen door handle or latch

Handles and latches on screen doors crack and strip over time. We replace them with hardware matched to your frame so the screen closes and latches properly.

Pets keep destroying the screen

Standard fiberglass mesh loses every fight with a dog. Pet-resistant mesh is several times tougher and is the upgrade we recommend for households with pets.

Pick the right mesh

Screen mesh options for every home

  • •Standard fiberglass — the everyday choice: good visibility, good airflow, keeps mosquitoes and no-see-ums out
  • •Pet-resistant mesh — several times tougher than standard mesh, built for dogs and cats that push, jump and claw
  • •Tight-weave insect screen — extra protection against the tiny biting midges common near canals and the coast

South Florida sliding door repair FAQs

Can you rescreen my sliding screen door, or does it need replacing?
In most cases we rescreen the existing frame. If the frame is straight and the corners are solid, new mesh and spline make it look and work like new at a fraction of replacement cost. We only recommend a new screen door when the frame is bent or broken.
My screen door keeps jumping off the track — can that be fixed?
Yes. That's usually worn or broken screen rollers, a bent frame, or a damaged track. We replace the rollers, square the frame and adjust the height so the screen glides and stays on the rail.
Do you have pet-resistant screen mesh?
Yes. We install heavy-duty pet-resistant mesh that stands up to dogs and cats pushing and clawing at the screen — much tougher than standard fiberglass mesh.
Can you match the screen color and mesh type I have now?
Yes. We carry standard charcoal and gray fiberglass mesh, plus upgraded options like pet mesh and tighter-weave insect screen, and we match the frame finish where hardware is involved.
Do you repair window screens too?
Yes — we rescreen and repair window screens as well as sliding screen doors, usually in the same visit.
How fast can you get to me?
We run daily routes across Broward, Palm Beach and Miami-Dade counties, and most screen repairs finish in one visit. Call (754) 228-7654 for today's openings.
