Heavy-panel rollers & alignment
We check the roller profile, mounting points and panel weight before selecting compatible replacement assemblies. The rail and panel clearances are inspected together, then travel and latch alignment are tested.

A heavy hurricane-rated slider that drags, grinds or won't lock may need a repair — not a new door. We inspect the complete system and quote impact-door repairs onsite.

We check the roller profile, mounting points and panel weight before selecting compatible replacement assemblies. The rail and panel clearances are inspected together, then travel and latch alignment are tested.

02
A lock that won't engage can be an alignment issue rather than a failed mechanism. We inspect keepers, handles and multi-point engagement, and match replacement parts to the existing system when available. We don't substitute generic hardware where the door requires specific parts.

03
We inspect the running rail, sill, weatherseals and drainage paths to identify the source of drag or leaks. A track cap is considered only when the rail is suitable and clearance and drainage can be maintained. Caulking over weep holes can make water problems worse.

04
Cracked laminated glass needs the correct compatible replacement specification. We assess glass, frame and access onsite. A roller, lock or glass repair does not upgrade a standard door to impact-rated status or certify its hurricane performance.

Pricing & scope
Panel weight, moving-panel count, compatible hardware, track condition and building access all affect complexity. The $99–$375 per-panel range is for standard sliding door repairs, not an impact-door quote. Glass replacement is assessed separately.
Glass & repair cost guideWe serve Broward, Palm Beach and Miami-Dade. For condos, include building requirements, elevator access and permitted work hours when requesting an estimate.

“Called about a slider that hadn't moved in years. Ben had it gliding with one finger the same day — new rollers and a cleaned-up track instead of a whole new door.”

Often, if the frame and panel are suitable for repair and compatible parts are available. Heavy panels require appropriate handling and roller assemblies matched to the door. We inspect the system onsite before quoting.
Weight, panel count, hardware access, proprietary parts and condo access change the work required. We provide a free onsite estimate rather than applying the $99–$375 standard repair range to an impact system.
A routine hardware repair does not certify or change a door's hurricane rating. Compatible parts and the correct glass specification matter; product approvals and manufacturer requirements determine the system's rated performance.
Stop using the door and keep people and pets away. Do not lift, pry or reset a heavy glass panel yourself. Call and explain whether the opening can be secured.
Yes. Include building access, elevator scheduling, work-hour restrictions and any certificate-of-insurance requirements when requesting your estimate.
